H.THEORIA (from Greek H and ”theoria”). In the Greek alphabet, the letter H (êta) represents the bond between matter and spirit—the symbolic plan. In Ancient Greek, ”theoria” means observation.
Modern, surprising and rigorous, H.THEORIA shakes the codes of the spirits industry by the complexity of its tastes as well as by its graphic world and its literary DNA. Dreamlike, poetic, untidy and tempting, H.THEORIA breaks the rules of liquor making.
Just like a perfumer who creates a fragrance, H.THEORIA transcribes the intangible sensations of tempers through the prism of taste and smell.
EXPERTISE BY H.THEORIA
The best of plants, spices, fruit and flowers is extracted in Burgundy, at the Gabriel Boudier House, respecting ancient expertise.
“I’ve been lucky to work with Gabriel Boudier, who was awarded World Best Liquorist. I didn’t know it back then, but he holds a significant part in our project. His support — as a ”pope” — despite my crazy desires, just got stronger with the years. He was the first to ever believe in us and we’ll be eternally grateful to him.”
The subtle aromas of our three shameless liquors are rooted in the precision of our manufacturing process.
We macerate ingredients from all over the world separately in a mixture of water and alcohol for 8 to 10 weeks in order to get a ”tincture” full of fruity or herbal aromas and beautifully colored.
The tincture is then distilled in a several-decade-old alambic so as to extract the ethereal might from the plant to form what is called an ”alcoholate”.
After that, the tinctures and alcoholates are mixed together, following H.THEORIA’s original and atypical formulas—which took us over a year to develop.
Once the ingredients have been mixed, we let the aromas dance, mingle and get in motion for almost 4 weeks, before we bottle our three precious elixirs.
A SUBVERSIVE DUET
Paris, year 2011. On a Summer night on the right riverbank of the Seine, Marlène and Camille met for the first time. Friendship at first sight strikes these two bold young women. Their tempers and their itineraries are so different, but they have two passions in common: taste and singular experiences. Three years after their first encounter, inspired by their desire to create something together, they imagined the premises of a story that has become the H.THEORIA brand.

Marlène graduated from the ISIPCA and has been an expert in olfaction and formulation for over 6 years.
She loves writing poetry, contradicting everyone in a debate, sniffing people’s necks, and the scent of beta-caryophyllene, a molecule smelling of old attics.
Thanks to her brains and to her nose, she has created the bold and astonishing compositions of H.THEORIA the way you would create a perfume—always seeking for perfect balance between the fruit, plants, spices, woods and herbs.
Camille graduated from EDHEC. She is a manager in gourmet cuisine.
She loves inspirers, coffee, Corsican chants, riding her electric scooter and reading positive management books.
She combines the assets of her experience as the head of a prestigious cuisine company with her commercial audacity, and she can move mountains to have someone taste one drop of the H.THEORIA liquors.
Her first ambition is to serve ”cuisine artists” as she calls them, in order to promote their talents.
